In addition Bayerngas Norge was awarded participating interests in five other licenses in the North Sea and the Southern Norwegian Sea. Prior to the APA 2011 the company had 48 licenses, of which 30 in Norway. Upon the award the CEO, Mr. Westeng, said that this is an important step for the company. We have prepared ourselves to become an operator for a long time and were prequalified as such in 2009. We have established an organization ready to take on these tasks and we knew we delivered a strong application. We are pleased with the award which fit well into our existing portfolio and is strategically important for our owners’ long-term objective of strengthening the company’s position on the Norwegian continental shelf. We look forward to working with our German partners RWE Dea and VNG to achieve an efficient progress in the license, maintaining a strong focus on HSEQ.
